The Gijinka calling herself Jynx had lost track of time while she and her son, Mime Junior, fled from her former master and the bounty hunters he had hired to bring them back. Her lover and father of her child, Mister Mime, had fought one such bounty hunter to allow them time to escape. She had not seen or heard from him since.

Now she found herself in Viridian Forest. At some point, she had lost track of time, she realized that she was pregnant with Mister Mime's second child. She had made a temporary shelter for her and Mime Junior to rest and recover their strength. She gathered what food she could, but made no fire. As she and her son returned from foraging, it began to rain. They rushed to their shelter just in time to avoid the downpour. She held her son close as they waited out the storm.
